Colour without fear

Three colours, mixed on purpose, and why the mistakes are usually the good part.

What you need: three colours of paint, a brush, water, and something disposable to paint on.

Pick three colours that you would never put together — red and green, maybe, or blue and orange.

Mix them on purpose. All the ways you can. Find the brown, find the bright colour hiding in between, find the one that surprised you.

Paint them all over the page. There is no right answer here, only colours you did not know existed.

Now look at your page the next day. Children are usually surprised that yesterday's mess was worth keeping.
